I’ve degenerated from a degenerate.leftist to some sort of plural, the degenerati.* I envision the degenerati sitting around a restaurant table at hours of the night drinking coffee, or wine, or whatever, and discussing the happenings of the day in a faux-clever way, but each moment knowing they’d all individually just like to go home, eat the most rotten uncooked beef they can find, and watch the Wire or the UFC.

I’ve moved from my old home on blogger because I wasn’t happy with the new blogger beta service I was irretrievably enrolled in, and, enamored as I am with wordpress, saw this as an opportunity to make a fresh start. Who knows yet what a fresh start will mean? Maybe I’ll be proud now of my damnable 1/4 Irish heritage? Maybe I’ll organize the blog better? Who knows. It’s all an exciting mystery as far as I’m concerned.

As soon as I’m able I’ll import the posts from livejournal and blogger here in case someone ever wants to read something twice.

I’ll set the old feedburner feed  to work with he new feed here, but if people are still having problems with it, I know the native wordpress feeds to be reliable.  As soon as I figure out how, I’ll also offer category feeds so that you can pick and choose what you recieve.  I just read an article about it, but I’m not sure it’s even possible on wordpress.com (though they add features at a really quick rate).

I hope to continue failing my readers at this new blog location like I always have my friends in every other aspect of my life.
